Spotted Joe Pye Weed (Eutrochium maculatum) is a tall, perennial wildflower native to North America, often reaching heights of 4 to 6 feet. It thrives in moist soils and is commonly found in wet meadows, marshes, and along streambanks. This plant prefers full sun to partial shade and requires consistently moist to wet conditions to flourish. Spotted Joe Pye Weed produces large, dome-shaped clusters of pinkish-purple flowers from mid to late summer, attracting butterflies and other pollinators. Its sturdy, purple-spotted stems and whorled leaves add ornamental value to rain gardens and naturalized landscapes.
