Viburnum Nudum

Witherod Viburnum (Viburnum nudum) is a deciduous shrub native to eastern North America, typically growing 5 to 12 feet tall with an upright, multi-stemmed habit. It thrives in moist to wet soils and is often found in low woods, swamps, and along streambanks. This shrub prefers full sun to partial shade and requires consistent moisture, making it well-suited for rain gardens or naturalized wetland areas. Witherod Viburnum produces clusters of creamy white flowers in late spring, followed by attractive berries that transition from pink to blue-black in late summer, providing visual interest and food for wildlife. Its glossy green leaves turn a striking reddish-purple in fall, adding seasonal color to the landscape.
